STX had long lines all weekend as Brooks Sweet was spinning the prize wheel. X2 and the Ignitor gloves are their hot additions this year. The Proton and X2 were both very popular with the coaches we talked to and the Ignitor gloves are so light and flexible that they are almost unnoticable on your hand!

BRINE had a strong showing at the convention and has a terrific line-up for 2001. Leading the way is the new Cyber stick which will be reviewed on E-Lacrosse in the next few weeks, the Xtreme goalie stick and the Axis gloves which are completely off the hook!

DEBEER builds on last years success with the new Phantom head! Paul Gait, now Vice President of deBeer, has been racking up goals in the NLL with it all season long. The new ICON gloves are also hot for 2001 and will be the subject of a review on E-Lacrosse soon!

The WASHINGTON POWER was in the house with appearances by Gary and Paul Gait (Gary with GM Steve Govett and Paul with legendary Roy Simmons, Jr. below), Kip Fulks, Jesse Hubbard and General Manager Steve Govett. E-Lacrosse ran a Power promotion and gave away a slew of great tickets and two STX X2 sticks signed by Gary Gait. The first went to John Dudley (shown below), executive director of Brick City Lacrosse in Montclair, New Jersey! The second was awarded after the convention to Gary Morgan of Vienna Youth Inc., in norhern Virginia!
