UNCASVILLE, CT---Using a run and gun style typical of most All-Star games, the North reeled off seven straight goals to overcome the South 14-10 in the National Lacrosse League All Star Game at the Mohegan Sun Arena Sunday Afternoon.

The Toronto Rock's Steve Toll, who was named the game MVP, scored 3 goals and added an assist.

Paul Gait, playing his last game in the National Lacrosse League was held scoreless.

The South held an 8-6 lead at halftime, but the North scored four times in the third quarter and then reeled off three more within the first 3:34 of the fourth to jump infront.

Both teams maintained fairly balanced attacks, as only two other players on the North, Ottawa's Ryan Painter (2g, 1a) and Vancouver's Peter Morgan (2g) had multiple goals. Montreal's Tracey Kelewsky and Rochester's Derek Malawsky both dished out three assists.

For the South, only Washington Power defenseman Paul Cantabene found the net twice.

Both teams used all three of their goalkeepers, with each playing 20 minutes. For the North, Toronto's Bob Watson faced 15 shots and allowed five goals, Rochester Pat O'Toole allowed 3 goals on 16 shots and Vancouver's Dwight Maetche allowed only 2 goals on 24 shots.

For the South, Albany's Rob Blasdell faced 15 shots and allowed four goals. Rochester's Steve Dietrich faced 19 shots and allowed five goals, while Philadelphia's Dallas Eliuk was peppered with 20 shots and allowed five goals.
