The Baltimore Bayhawks improved to a league record 7-0 start after dominating the Long Island Lizards (3-4) in front of 5,094 fans at Johnny Unitas Stadium on the campus of Towson University on Sunday afternoon. The game marked a franchise low goals scored for Long Island, who had previously never scored in single-digits. Tom Marechek was named Bud Light MVP, recording 4 goals and 3 assists.




Long Island was led by Tim Goettelmann (2 goals), A.J. Haugen (2 goals) and Chris Massey (1 goal, 1 assist). Greg Cattrano recorded 18 saves in the loss.




Also scoring for Baltimore was Gary Gait (3 goals, 4 assists) and Mikey Powell (4 goals).




The Lizards are currently in a tie for third place in Major League Lacrosse with the Philadelphia Barrage. The Lizards hope to rebound next Saturday, as they continue their five-game road trip, meeting the 1-5 New Jersey Pride at Sprague Field at Montclair State University.
