Baltimore, MD - Senior Tom Zummo (Islip, NY) netted four goals and passed out four assists to lead NYIT to a 20-7 win over Wheeling Jesuit this afternoon in men’s lacrosse action. The victory improves NYIT to 2-0 on the season while Wheeling Jesuit falls to 0-2.
Senior Paul Montali (New City, NY) added four goals and an assist and junior Joe Droge (Port Jeff, NY) chipped in with three goals and three assists.
Senior Anthony Letterel (West Islip, NY) made a season high 12 saves while allowing six goals in three quarters of action.
The Bears jumped out to a 10-3 lead at the half before winning by the final margin.
