Harvard 19, Boston College 3

Cambridge, MA-Senior captain Mike Ferrucci had four goals and added three assists as 20th-ranked Harvard downed Boston College, 19-3, Saturday afternoon in Cambridge.

Ferrucci scored twice to help the Crimson build a 7-0 lead early in the second quarter and added two more goals before the break to make it 11-2 at halftime.

Jim Bevilacqua collected three goals while Lawson DeVries and Owen Leary added two apiece.  Doug Crofton tallied once and had a team-high four assists for the Crimson, now 2-0 on the season.  In all, 12 different Harvard players scored on the day.  Kevin McLane netted a goal and an assist for Boston College, which fell to 0-4.

Four goalies saw action for the Crimson, with starter Keith Cynar making three saves before giving way to Ely Kahn in the third quarter. Kahn, and fellow keepers Arthur Chen and Matt O'Hare each made two saves. Anthony Cirri started in goal for BC and had seven saves.  Tim Gallagher came on in the second half and stopped 10 Harvard shots.

The Crimson now leads the all-time series with Boston College, 20-2, and has won four straight from the Eagles.

Harvard is back in action next Saturday, March 21, when it travels to the University of Pennsylvania for its Ivy League opener.
